I know it’s hard to believe. Especially when it comes to family. Especially when the needs of the household keep piling up—bills to pay, chores to do, kids to raise. Especially when everything that’s crying out for your attention is part of your responsibility as a parent and a spouse.

But my friend, God wants you to believe it: It’s not all on you.

Listen to Jesus’ gentle and gracious words to you today: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me… For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (see Matt. 11:28–30). Beloved, not only does the Lord want to give you rest, He also wants to show you that meeting the demands and expectations of raising your family can be easy and light.

For every responsibility you have, you have Jesus to show you the best way to handle it. The more you come to Him, share your burdens with Him, and involve Him in your family, the more you’ll experience Him guiding you to do the right things at the right time. The more you’ll find Him giving you wisdom to know when and how to parent your child. The more you’ll see Him blessing the little things you do and causing them to reap great results!

As you become conscious of Him being with you and leading you, you’ll find rest for your soul in the midst of all you have to do. Because you’ll realize it’s not all on you—it’s on Him!
